Series S: the same format, a higher level of finish
What distinguishes Series S from Series C
Both series share the same technical base: 35% visible light transmission and 23 microns thickness. The difference lies in the quality of the film itself. Series S benefits from a more advanced manufacturing process resulting in better tint uniformity over the full roll length, reinforced color stability over time, and superior optical clarity that gives a sharper appearance from inside the vehicle. In practice, an experienced installer sees the difference as soon as the roll is opened. The film is more regular, the tint is deeper, and the final result on the vehicle has that extra touch of quality that makes the difference on well-kept cars.
A finish that lasts over time
Series S is formulated to retain its original tint throughout its service life. No purple shift, no progressive fading, no areas evolving differently from others. After 5 years of daily exposure to the sun, the film keeps the same appearance as on the first day. This is a concrete commercial argument for the installer. A customer who comes back three years later and whose film is still impeccable is a customer who recommends. A film that has shifted is a customer who does not come back and talks about it around them. Series S secures the installer’s reputation in the long term.
Installation behavior
The 23 micron format offers the same installation flexibility as Series C. Heat-shrinking on curved rear screens is easy, cutting is clean, waste stripping is crisp. Series S does not require a different installation technique or specific adjustments. An installer who masters Series C moves to Series S with no adaptation time. The superior film quality is felt especially during final smoothing. The film stretches more evenly across the glazing, residual micro-creases are rarer, and the final result requires fewer touch-ups. Over a day with several vehicles, this time saved per installation adds up.
For which vehicles and which customers?
Series S positions itself between Series C and Series P. It suits installers who want to offer an upgrade to their customers without moving to a thicker or darker film. A customer who wants the same tint level as Series C but with a cleaner finish and better longevity finds the answer in Series S. It is also the right choice for recent and well-maintained vehicles where installation quality is more noticeable. On a new sedan or a premium SUV, Series S gives a result that matches the level of the vehicle.
