LED film transforms a glass surface into a transparent video display. When turned on, it shows images, animations, and videos that are clearly visible from outside, even in daylight. When turned off, the glass returns to being nearly transparent. Two versions are available: an adhesive film that can be applied to existing glass for quick installation, and a glass module that integrates LEDs between two panes for a high-end architectural finish.

Content is controlled by a dedicated video controller that supports all standard formats. Multiple panels can be synchronized to create large displays or broadcast the same content across several storefronts simultaneously. Switchable smart film contains liquid crystals that react to electrical current. Without power, the film is opaque with a milky white appearance. When powered, the crystals align and the film becomes transparent in less than a second. A switch, remote control, or home automation system controls the transition.
