OUR RANGESACCESSORIES RANGE

Professional tools for adhesive film installation

Squeegees, cutting tools, application solutions, consumables, specialized tools: all the equipment tested and approved by our teams for flawless installation.

A good film that is badly installed is a film that will not last. The quality of the final result depends as much on the tools as on the film itself. Our accessories are selected, tested and validated in-house for every type of application: building glazing, automotive, wrapping, security films and film removal. From cutters to application fluid, every tool has its place in the installer’s toolkit.

The installer’s essentials

Ultra-sharp blades help prevent the film from tearing during trimming.

Frequently asked questions

Which fluid should be used for installation?

We recommend our professional concentrated installation fluid, to be diluted, which provides perfect glide without affecting the adhesive, unlike dish soap solutions that may leave residues.

When should the cutter blade be changed?

For adhesive film, it is essential to snap off a fresh blade segment before every major cut to guarantee razor-sharp performance and avoid tearing the film.

Which squeegee should I choose?

For building glazing, a wide, rigid squeegee such as a Blue Max is ideal for removing water. For automotive work and curved surfaces, a softer squeegee such as a Turbo is preferable.

The right tool for every stage of installation

Prepare: the surface determines the result

Before rolling out even a single centimeter of film, the surface must be flawless. A speck of dust trapped under the film becomes a bubble that will never disappear. Adhesive residue from an old film creates an area where the new film will not bond properly. Preparation takes time, but it is what determines the final result. Our scrapers remove stubborn residues without scratching the glass. Our heat guns soften old films so they can be removed in clean strips instead of being torn off in pieces. Our glass cleaners degrease the surface and remove the last particles before installation. Every preparation tool has been selected to save installers time while ensuring a perfect surface.

Install: glide, positioning and squeegeeing

Wet installation starts with the application solution. The fluid applied to the glass allows the film to be positioned without sticking immediately. You can adjust it, realign it and then squeegee out the water to secure the film permanently. The quality of the solution determines how easy the film is to handle: if it is too diluted, the film slides too much; if it is too concentrated, it grips too soon. Our solutions are formulated for the right balance. They are compatible with all our films, leave no residue between the film and the glass, and dry cleanly. The squeegee is the tool that defines the installer. A wide, rigid squeegee is used for standard films on flat glass. A flexible squeegee is better for thin films and curved surfaces. A reinforced squeegee is needed for thick safety films that require more pressure. A compact squeegee is ideal for corners and small areas. Each model is designed for a specific use. Using the wrong squeegee on the wrong film can lead to scratches, creases or incomplete water removal.

Cut: the trim that defines the finish

Cutting the film on the glass is the step that is most visible in the final result. A clean, even edge is the mark of a professional installation. A jagged or misaligned edge means rework or an unhappy customer. Our professional cutters are selected for blade accuracy and handling stability. Blades are changed in one click and replaced on every new pane to keep the cut perfectly clean. Cutting guides ensure straight lines over long lengths. It is basic equipment, but it makes the difference between tidy workmanship and approximate work.

Specialize: tools for complex jobs

Automotive wrapping, PPF installation on body curves, and thick safety films on large glazed surfaces all require dedicated tools that go beyond the basic kit. Micro squeegees for tight corners, heated spatulas for shaping thick films, tension tools for large areas: these are the tools experienced installers build up over the course of their projects.

Frequently asked questions

Which squeegee should be used for building film?

For flat building glass, the Blue Max is the benchmark. Wide, rigid and efficient, it pushes out water and bubbles in very few passes. For thick safety films, a rigid squeegee with greater pressure is recommended. For curved surfaces such as fanlights or bent glazing, a softer Turbo-type squeegee adapts better to the shape of the glass.

How often should cutter blades be changed?

Ideally, on every pane. A worn blade tears the film instead of cutting it, which creates rough edges and requires touch-ups. On jobs involving multiple panes, snapping off a fresh blade segment between cuts is a habit that saves time in the end by reducing rework.

Which fluid should be used for installation?

Our professional installation solutions are specifically formulated for applying adhesive film to glass. They provide optimal glide for film positioning and dry cleanly. Homemade dish soap mixes are not recommended because they can leave residues and affect the film’s adhesion.

Can the squeegee scratch the film?

A squeegee in good condition with a clean rubber edge will not scratch the film. Scratches usually come from a worn rubber edge, dirt trapped under the squeegee, or excessive pressure on a thin film. Replacing the rubber regularly and cleaning the squeegee between passes removes this risk.

Which tools should be used to remove an old film?

A heat gun is used to soften the adhesive, a scraper to lift the film edge, and then the film is removed in strips with a steady pull. Adhesive residue is cleaned with a suitable solvent. It is a job that requires patience, but with the right tools an installer can remove 10 to 15 square meters of film per hour without damaging the glass.

Are Reflectiv accessories compatible with films from other brands?

Our tools are universal. Squeegees, cutters, application solutions and scrapers work with all adhesive films on the market, not just ours. These are installer’s tools, not proprietary accessories.

Do you offer complete starter kits?

Yes. We offer installation kits that bring together the essentials for getting started: squeegee, cutter, replacement blades, application solution and scraper. It is the ideal starting point for installers equipping themselves or renewing their basic tools in a single order.

What are the delivery times?

The entire accessories range is stocked in our Bonneuil-sur-Marne warehouse. Shipping takes place within 24 to 48 hours in mainland France. Accessories can be shipped together with film orders in a single delivery.
