Series D: the subtle tint that changes everything without being seen
50% visible light transmission: discreet but effective
At 50%, the glazing keeps a high level of clarity. The tint is noticeable up close but remains discreet from the outside. The vehicle keeps an appearance close to the original, without the "dark windows" effect of darker series. This is exactly what customers are looking for when they want the benefits of tinted film without showing the look. And the benefits are real. At 50% visible light transmission, the film already rejects a significant share of solar energy and glare. The cabin heats up less, rear passengers are more comfortable, and the 99% UV rejection protects occupants and interior materials every day. All this without the driver losing rear visibility, day or night.
Dyed in the mass: a tint that lasts
Series D is a mass-dyed film. The color is not a layer deposited on the film, it is an integral part of the material. In practical terms, this means the tint does not peel off, chip, or separate from the film over time. The finish remains homogeneous and faithful to the original appearance throughout the life of the product. It is a mark of quality that installers know well. Surface-dyed films eventually delaminate or show tint differences between exposed and protected areas. Mass dyeing eliminates this risk.
The right choice for light-colored vehicles and fleets
Series D is particularly relevant on light-colored vehicles, white, light gray, silver, where a tint that is too dark would create too strong a contrast between the bodywork and the glazing. At 50%, the whole remains harmonious and coherent. On company fleets, Series D brings a level of comfort and protection to all vehicles without giving them an ostentatious appearance. Company cars, delivery vehicles with rear glazing, and pool cars benefit from thermal comfort and UV protection without changing their image. It is also the ideal film for hesitant customers. An installer who offers Series D to a customer undecided between "to tint or not to tint" gives them an accessible first step: a result visible when you know what to look for, invisible to others.
Installation identical to other series
23 microns, same flexibility as Series C and S. Heat-shrinking on rear screens is done without difficulty, cutting is clean, smoothing is fast. An installer already working with Series C or S changes absolutely nothing in their method. The only difference is the final tint: lighter, softer, more natural.
