Description
A genuine mirror finish on glass
MIR 800 is a metallised polyester film designed to turn compatible glazing into a silver mirror. Its stated 98% mirror effect appears on both sides and visible light transmission is very low, creating a nearly opaque partition that cannot be used for observation through the glass.
Unlike one-way mirror film, MIR 800 is not designed for seeing without being seen. It is intended wherever the required result is a mirror: fitness studios, wellness areas, decorative panels, shops, offices and interior design projects.
Construction and installation
The film combines a silver PET base, an acrylic polymer adhesive and a 23 µm siliconised PET liner. It has a scratch-resistant treatment and is wet applied to the interior face of thoroughly cleaned glazing. The minimum application temperature is 5°C.
Selecting suitable glazing
Check the compatibility table before installation. Request technical approval for large panes, unusual glazing or direct solar exposure. The stated warranty is 10 years, subject to the manufacturer's conditions.
Care
Wait 30 days after installation before cleaning. Then use a non-abrasive, ammonia-free solution with a soft cloth or a squeegee that cannot scratch the film.
Durabilité
Garantie fabricant : 10 years. La tenue réelle dépend de l’exposition, de la qualité du vitrage, du respect des conditions de pose et de l’entretien.
Entretien
30 days after installation.
Stockage
2 years from delivery. Store away from excessive humidity and sunlight, at a temperature below 38°C.
