Digital printing support films
Cut vinyl does flat colour. Printable film does everything else: photos, gradients, complex artwork, full CMYK, total customisation. Our digital printing support films are formulated for mainstream large-format printers and cover three main application families: white printable film for opaque window or smooth-substrate graphics, transparent printable film for backlit looks and glass décor, and perforated film to communicate street-side while keeping interior visibility. Compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, UV and latex inks depending on reference.
Digital printing film: from file to shop window
Why print film instead of cut vinyl?
Cut vinyl is limited to solid colours and cut shapes. As soon as you need a photo, a gradient, a multi-colour visual or a custom CMYK design, you need a print media. Printable film receives ink directly from the large-format printer, dries, can be laminated if needed, then installs on the final substrate like any adhesive film.
It underpins all printed visual communication on glazing: promotional window campaigns, façade wraps, full vehicle prints, stand décor, large-format signage. Wherever you need a custom visual on a smooth surface, print film does the job.
White film, transparent film, perforated: three media, three logics
White printable film is the most common. Ink sits on an opaque white base for faithful, intense colour. The graphic reads in ambient light like a poster on glass—the go-to for window campaigns, seasonal promos, site hoardings and full vehicle wraps.
Transparent printable film lets light through the graphic. The image reads from both sides and comes alive when backlit. Ideal for lightboxes, illuminated signs, backlit windows and glass décor that must keep partial transparency.
Perforated window film is dual-reading: the print reads clearly from outside; thousands of micro-holes let light and vision through from inside. Passers-by see the ad; occupants see the street. Standard for retail windows, buses, taxis and any glazing that must communicate outward without blocking the interior view.
Printer and ink compatibility
Our films are formulated for mainstream large-format technologies. Eco-solvent and solvent references work with Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh and most roll-fed printers. UV references suit flatbed and hybrid roll machines. Latex references suit HP Latex printers.
Reference choice depends on your installed fleet. Each data sheet lists compatible ink types, recommended ICC profiles and drying settings—so you don’t discover incompatibility only at print time.
Lamination: protecting the print
An unprotected outdoor print degrades within months: UV fades inks, weather damages the surface, abrasion wears the graphic. Lamination adds a clear protective layer that typically extends outdoor life by 2 to 5 years.
Our lamination films come in gloss for saturated, punchy looks, matt for softer, reflection-free finishes, and enhanced UV-blocking options for harsh exposure. Lamination is cold or hot depending on reference, applied right after printing and before final cutting.
Typical applications
Retail windows are the primary use: promos, sales, launches, seasonal décor—white or perforated film lets you refresh the message as often as trade demands. Remove the old, apply the new in minutes.
Full vehicle wraps use white laminated film to turn a van into a rolling billboard—beyond what cut lettering alone can deliver, with photos, illustrations and free-form design.
Large-format signage uses printable film for directional panels, totems, tensioned banners and hoarding wraps: print, laminate, then mount on rigid or flexible substrates.
Building façades in perforated film turn large glazed areas into giant communication surfaces—malls, gyms, dealerships—while keeping daylight inside.
Exhibition and event design uses transparent film for luminous effects on glass partitions, display cases and scenic installations.
