Cut vinyl
Cut vinyl is the raw material of signage work. Load it into the plotter, cut letters, logos and shapes, weed, transfer and install. In five steps, your message is on the window, the vehicle or the wall. Our vinyls are formulated for professional cutting: flexible PVC or polyester depending on the application, permanent or repositionable adhesive depending on the substrate, gloss, matt or metallic finish depending on the desired look. Wide colour choice, compatibility with the leading plotter brands, and cutting/weeding behaviour that won’t cost you time on site.
Professional cut vinyl: from roll to final substrate
What you expect from a good cut vinyl
A vinyl that cuts cleanly without burrs, weeds without tearing fine details, transfers without distortion, and holds on the final substrate without lifting or bubbling. It sounds basic, but it’s the difference between a pro product and an entry-level vinyl that turns every job into a struggle.
Our vinyls are tested on the critical steps of the process. Cutting stays sharp even on small characters and complex shapes. Weeding is clean: the excess lifts without resistance and the letters stay on the liner. Transfer happens without stretching or distortion, even on thin films. And long-term adhesion is ensured—indoors or outdoors depending on the reference.
PVC or polyester: two materials, two uses
Flexible PVC is the signage and lettering industry standard. It’s easy to cut, weed and install. Its flexibility lets it conform to gentle vehicle curves or lightbox faces. It’s used for shop window lettering, utility vehicle markings, indoor wayfinding, and temporary décor. Outdoor durability is typically 3 to 7 years depending on the range.
Polyester is more rigid and more resistant. It’s chosen for applications that require higher mechanical strength: signage plates, industrial labels, temporary floor marking. It resists solvents, abrasion and extreme temperatures better. Its rigidity makes it less suitable for curved surfaces but ideal for flat substrates and demanding environments.
Finishes and colours
The range comes in three main finishes. Gloss gives a smooth, bright look that catches the eye—ideal for commercial lettering and shop window logos. Matt absorbs light for a more understated, premium look, often chosen for office signage and institutional wayfinding. Metallic (silver or gold) brings a material effect that mimics brushed or polished metal, perfect for prestige lettering and luxury boutiques.
For colours, the chart covers standard signage tones: white, black, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and common variants. Each colour remains stable over time and is UV-resistant for outdoor use.
Common applications
Shop window lettering remains the flagship use: opening hours, store name, logo, legal information—everything that must be readable on glass. It’s quick to apply, easy to replace, and far cleaner than a printed sticker.
Commercial vehicle markings are the second major use: company name, phone number, logo on doors and tailgate. Cut vinyl turns a plain van into a moving advertisement. It follows body curves and withstands repeated washing.
Indoor signage includes directional arrows, office numbering, safety instructions, and lobby logos. Cut vinyl on glass, metal or painted walls delivers a crisp professional finish that paper prints or plastic boards can’t match.
Temporary floor marking, event décor and exhibition-stand branding complete the applications. Cut vinyl is used wherever you need to apply a message on a smooth substrate—fast and clean.
Compatibility and cutting
Our vinyls are compatible with the main cutting plotters on the market: Roland, Graphtec, Summa, Silhouette. Thickness and adhesive properties are calibrated for smooth machine feeding without jams or drift. Recommended pressure and speed settings are indicated on each technical sheet.
Manual cutting with a cutter is also possible for simple lettering and large geometric shapes. The vinyl cuts cleanly without tearing or stretching, provided you use a new blade and a suitable cutting guide.
