Conventional solar films reflect visible light to cut heat. IR 50 works differently: it specifically targets infrared radiation, which causes the sensation of heat, while transmitting 70% of visible light.
Its subtle golden tint gives glazing a warm appearance, far from the metallic look of traditional reflective films. 55% of infrared is blocked, 52% of total solar energy rejected. The g-factor of 0.48 noticeably reduces thermal gain. UV blocking reaches 99%.
