Microdot solar protection - Interior application - Grey

EXT 600 solar protection film has been designed to be applied to glazing to reduce heat and glare from the sun.    The improvement in comfort is dramatic in rooms that are exposed to the sun. Thanks to its non-reflective microdot technology. It rejects 52% of the sun's energy, i.e. 359 Watt/m2. It fits perfectly into the HQE approach and preserves interior privacy. It also provides interior privacy and allows you to see without being seen.  It does not alter the appearance of buildings and is particularly recommended for airports, historical buildings and places where reflective films are not allowed. As it has no mirror effect, it also does not change the appearance of exterior buildings.

    Composition of heat protection films

Adhesive solar protection films consist of 2 layers of vacuum metallised polyester, an adhesive and a protective film that is removed during installation. They are anti-scratch treated.

    Solar Control :

    Solar Factor

The solar factor (G) of a pane is the ratio of the total energy entering a room through the pane to the incident solar energy. This total energy is the sum of the solar energy entering by direct transmission, and the energy given off by the glazing to the interior environment, as a result of its heating by energy absorption.

    Greenhouse effect

Solar energy entering a room through glazing is absorbed by the objects and interior walls which, as they heat up, re-emit thermal radiation mainly in the far infrared range (greater than 5 μm). Glazing, even clear glazing, is practically opaque to radiation of wavelengths greater than 5μm. The solar energy entering through the glazing is therefore trapped in the room, which tends to heat up: this is the "greenhouse effect" that can be seen, for example, in a car parked in full sunlight with the windows closed.

The glass surface to be glued on has to be free from dust, grease or other contaminants. Some specific materials such as polycarbonate can cause air bubble problems. Therefore, a compatibility rest is recommended. Please refer to our prescription table or contact us for any question

Before applying to our users to ensure that the film is suitable for the intended use and comply with current standards. In order to constantly improve our production we may change a product colour and manufacturing process without prior notice.
