Applied on glazing, this colorless film forms an integral membrane that keeps the glass in place. It avoids the glass pane shattering in the event of explosion or vandalism in places such as shops, shopping malls, schools, hospitals, public buildings, exhibition halls, sports facilities, homes…
For glazing smaller than 3 m²
Thanks to a specially designed adhesive, safety films absorb energy created by the impact of an object or shock wave from an explosion. The risk of glass breakage is greatly diminished. This is proved by tests carried out by the CEBTP according to the standard NF P78.406 & 2B2 NF EN 12600 and soft-body impact resistance.
If glass breaks, the invisible and resistant membrane holds the broken pieces of glass together. The glazing cracks but remains in one place, preserving the safety of people and equipment. Complying with the strictest safety standards, safety films (Fire Rating / Euroclasses Standards) do not create or spread flames. Even in these extreme conditions, they retain their properties: glass does not shatter under the effect of heat.
Thanks to the crystal polyester, transparency and visibility are not affected even after years of exposure to sunlight. What is more, a treatment used in acrylic glue filters UV radiation by 95% to avoid products discoloration on displays.
The glass surface to be glued on has to be free from dust, grease or other contaminants. Some specific materials such as polycarbonate can cause air bubble problems. Therefore, a compatibility test is recommended. For more precision we recommend to refer back to the application table.
In order to constantly improve our production we may change a product colour and manufacturing process without prior notice. Before applying our products we recommend that our users ensure that the film is suitable for the intended use and comply with current standards.
In order to maintain the high level of quality, we do not recommend mixing different film productions when applying films
