Are they easy to install and remove?

Yes. Installing the film is very easy. You can do it by yourself and in a few minutes install the film on any type of glass surface.

Removing the films is also very simple. You can bring back the old look of the glass any time.

Once installed, can the film be used again on another surface ?

No. The films resemble big bumper stickers. They can be used only once.

Where can I install the films apart from my windows ?

Réflective films are designed for all types of glass surfaces: windows, door, shower cubicle, glass tables, glass furniture, porches, velux, PVC partitions or even car windows.

Can I install the film on PVC glass ?

Yes. All PVC glass such as office partitions.

When installing sun control and two-way mirror films on PVC glass, the following suggestions should be taken into consideration:

• The film should be installed from the exterior side of the window or other surface.
• PVC glass should not be younger than 2 years old because otherwise degassing might take place and result in air bubbles appearing under the film

How do I install Réflectiv films ?

Tous les films All Réflectiv films are installed in the same way. The following tools will be necessary :

1. Clean the glass with water and soap. We recommend using an alcohol-free dishwashing liquid with water.
2. Cut the film to the size 2mm smaller than the window.
3. Take off the plastic layer protecting the adhesive side of the film. Using an adhesive tape might help. Stick two ends together in the corner of the film. Once you take it off the protective layer will detach from the film.
4. While removing the protective film, spray the adhesive side with soap water. Once you have placed the film on the window you should be able to slide it and look for the best position. For the same reasons, before placing the film you can spray the window with water.
5. After you have placed the film on the window correctly, spray it lightly with water in order to moisten it and allow gliding the squeegee along the window. Begin at the top, and glide the squeegee from the central part towards the edges. This will help remove water from between the film and the window and let the glue stick the two together.

That’s it!

Smart Tip: If you have very large windows you would like to cover, demanding lining up the pattern you can place two films side by side without overlaying them. It is practically unnoticeable.

Where do I get the mounting tools from ?

Réflectiv provides you with all necessary materials.

You can buy a mounting kit in most home improvement stores. For private use, the kit consists of:

• 1 film cutter
• 1 scraper
• 1 squeegee
• 1 spray

For professional use, we offer the following materials :

• 1 large scraper with 25 exchangeable blades
• 1 large squeegee made of stainless steel with 1-metre exchangeable rubber blade
• 1 set of 5 cutters
• 1 spray (capacity: 5 l )

Additionally we offer a special squeegee for wide, safety and security films (SEC 058).

Air bubbles appeared under the film some time after installation whereas they were not there before. Is that OK ?

Yes. It may happen while the film is drying. The bubbles will disappear in 4-5 weeks time.

I set the film security SEC 058, but it comes off. Can it come from the glue?

No. The security film SEC 058 is very thick, it must rub with the squeegee SEC 058 which allows special strongly support over without damaging. If you used a scraper of any kind, it is likely that there is more water between the glass and the film, which prevents it from sticking properly.

Do I get a warranty on Reflect films ?

Yes. All our films are under 5 years warranty against defect if installed inside and under 2 years warranty if installed outside.
